How to Install Laravel

Now I want to share how to install Laravel on Ubuntu Linux. Actually to install laravel is described in their site but in here I will try to explain more from their site.. :D. And I assume you have installed the web server such as Apache/Nginx, Php and Mysql/Postgre.
To install and running Laravel you must follow the following steps:

  1. Installing Composer, mcrypt, and php5-json:
    $ sudo apt-get install curl php5-mcrypt php5-json

    Then download the composer:

    $ curl -sS | php

    And the last, install composer to /usr/local/bin

    $ sudo mv composer.phar /usr/local/bin/composer

    for more info (such as install on windows) open this site,

  2. Now Open your working directory. Example My working directory is /home/myname/workspaces/ or if you use apache, by default your working directory is /var/www
  3. And now for install laravel you can use this code:
    $ cd /var/www/
    $ composer create-project laravel/laravel --prefer-dist

    Wait until the end and after that check with this code:

    $ ls

    And we get laravel.. 🙂

  4. Then open laravel with browser with url http://localhost/laravel/public/. And what we got error something like this:

    Don’t panic and keep calm. You just run this code:

    $ sudo chown www-data.www-data -R laravel/app/storage/

    And then, restart laravel. And……. Whoooa we succeed.
